Our 5 months O-level English preparation program is led by a highly qualified and experienced instructor with a BSc (Hons) in Applied Psychology, an MSc
in Clinical Psychology, and over 15 years of experience teaching English to O-level and Psychology to A-level. She also has extensive experience in English language teacher training and is a specialized IELTS & PTE coach.
5 Month Course planÂ
Month 1: Foundations of English Language
- Grammar: Review of basic grammar rules, including sentence structure, verb tenses, and parts of speech
- Vocabulary: Building a strong vocabulary through word lists, contextual exercises, and vocabulary-building strategies
- Reading Comprehension: Developing reading comprehension skills through practice passages and question types
- Writing Skills: Focusing on basic writing skills, including essay structure, paragraph development, and sentence variety
Month 2: Expanding Grammar and Vocabulary
- Grammar: Exploring more complex grammatical concepts, such as conditional sentences, reported speech, and modal verbs
- Vocabulary: Expanding vocabulary knowledge through exposure to more advanced words and their usage
- Reading Comprehension: Practicing reading comprehension with longer and more challenging passages
- Writing Skills: Enhancing writing skills by focusing on essay writing techniques, persuasive writing, and argumentative writing
Month 3: Developing Reading and Writing Strategies
- Reading Comprehension: Learning effective reading strategies for different types of passages, such as skimming, scanning, and summarizing
- Writing Skills: Developing advanced writing skills by practicing different essay formats, including descriptive, narrative, and analytical essays
- Grammar and Vocabulary Revision: Regular revision of grammar rules and vocabulary to ensure retention
Month 4: Sharpening Reading and Writing Skills
- Reading Comprehension: Focusing on improving reading speed, accuracy, and comprehension through timed practice and critical analysis
- Writing Skills: Refining writing skills by practicing different types of writing tasks, including timed writing, creative writing, and letter writing
- Grammar and Vocabulary Enhancement: Continuing to enhance grammar and vocabulary knowledge through practice exercises and contextual exposure
Month 5: Practice and Mock Exams
- Intensive Practice: Dedicated sessions for intensive practice of all four components of the O Levels English exam: reading comprehension, writing, grammar, and vocabulary
- Mock Exams: Conducting two full-length mock exams under timed conditions to simulate the actual exam experience
- Review and Feedback: Providing detailed feedback on mock exams to identify areas for improvement and refine exam strategies
Class Duration: 3 days per week, 1 hour per class
